                         TOURNAMENT RULES


Team Roster Size:
  • U10 may have a maximum of 12 players per team: no player can be dual-rostered.
  • U12 may have a maximum of 12 players per team: no player can be dual-rostered.
Awards:
This is a competitive tournament, however all players will receive medals in honor of President’s Day

Acceptance of Teams:
  • Will be determined by the Tournament Committee
  • Accepted teams will be notified by email
  • Teams not accepted will have checks returned
Divisions
  • Teams will be placed in the appropriate division at the discretion of the Tournament Committee
  • Competition and scheduling requests will be accommodated if possible.

Games
  • FIFA Rules of the game are in effect, with the exception of those noted below.
  • Roster size: The maximum number of players per team is 12 (U12) and 12 for (U10) play
  • Minimum number of players ready to play at start of game per team is 4
  • Teams must be at their respective field 10-15 minutes prior to game time
  • Teams will have a 5-minute grace time. If a team fails to show up, the game will be ruled a forfeit, and not be replayed.
  • Game length: 25 minutes no half -time.
  • Players wearing casts or any other equipment/item the referee determines is dangerous to another player will NOT be allowed to play.
  • Shin guards are mandatory.
  • In event of conflicting colors, team listed first in each game is the home team and is responsible to wear alternate jerseys or pinnies.
  • Any player ejected from a game will be ineligible for his/her team’s next tournament game.
  • Competition is 6V6 small sided. .

Determination of winners
Teams will be awarded 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie
Total points will then determine the order of finish
There will be no overtime
In case of a tie in points the following criteria for tie breaking will be used:
  1. Result of head to head competition
  2. Least goals scored against.
  3. Highest total goal differential-goals for/ minus goals against, to a maximum of 4 per game
  4. Goals for, with a maximum differential of 6
The Tournament Coordinators will make final determination in all matters under dispute with the exception of FIFA rules, in which case the Head Referee will make the final decision.
